The Korgalzhyn State Nature Reserve is called the "pearl of the region".
The Korgalzhyn State Nature Reserve is called the "pearl of the region". This is one of the largest nature reserves of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the territory of the Korgalzhyn district of the Akmola region, located 160 kilometers from Nur-Sultan.
There are 347 species of birds in the reserve. 41 species of birds are included in the Red Book of Kazakhstan and 26 species in the International Red Book. There are 443 species of flower plants in the protected flora.

A special charm is given to this place by its famous inhabitants-pink flamingos. This is the world's northernmost breeding colony of flamingos.
